Reservations for 2023 are now available

Ready to visit Lower Antelope Canyon next year? Now’s your chance

As hard as it is to believe, 2022 is fast coming to a close.  Thanksgiving is just around the corner, followed soon after by the Holiday season and then of course the start of a brand new year.   As such, reservations for the 2023 calendar year are now available.  Reservations will go fast, but here’s some tips on planning a great trip to Lower Antelope Canyon in 2023.

Plan ahead for holidays and weekends

First and foremost, holidays are the busiest times of the year, so if you are planning on visiting during a holiday or holiday weekend be sure to book your reservation months in advance.

For example, if you are planning on visiting Northern Arizona or the Navajo Nation for the 4th of July weekend and are thinking of taking in a tour of Lower Antelope Canyon, try to book your reservation at least by January.  Remember, all tickets are 100% fully refundable right up until 24 hours before your scheduled tour time.  So there’s nothing to lose by booking your reservation far in advance, and no need to worry should something come up that may force you to cancel your plans in the meantime.

But you will absolutely need a reservation to tour Antelope Canyon, and once we are sold out (which we always do for holidays and weekends, especially during peak season) you will be out of luck.  We do not allow walk-ins or people without reservations on the tour.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

In order to keep the tours moving smoothly, and ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience – including having the ability to stop and take photos – there are a limited number of tour reservations available for each time slot for each day.  Once those are sold out, the only way to go on that day is to standby and hope for a cancellation.

No squatting please

While we are happy to provide full refunds in advance, please be respectful and try not to abuse the privilege by booking for multiple dates that you do not intend to keep.  We welcome travelers from literally all over the world, many who only are able to arrive on certain days, and it is unfair to them and others to have their options limited by so-called “squatting” of many desirable dates.  If you book multiple days with us, especially holidays, we may contact you to confirm you do indeed intend to keep those commitments.

Peak months sell out faster

Third, remember that – like many popular tourist attractions – we have our peak season and off peak season.  Specifically, peak season occurs between March and September, while off-peak season occurs between October and February.  This simply means that the spring and summer months are more popular and in demand, mostly due to the sunny, warm weather, while the late fall and winter months are less so – even though winter tours can be an extraordinary experience.

Both peak and off peak seasons offer an incredible experience, but as you can imagine, peak season requires reservations to be made farther in advance.

We are open 51 weeks of 2023

Finally, believe it or not, even the employees of Dixie’s Antelope Canyon Tours need some time off.  So our award-winning guided tours are not available for just one week out of the year.  This year we will be closed between January 15-21, 2023, but are open every other day of the year.
